WLSU returns as a closed circuit amplitude modulation (AM) system connected to thirty-one buildings on campus under the direction of faculty advisor Dr. John H. Pennybacker and Union Program Director Richard D. Madison. The station is located in the Student Union and found at 660 KC on the campus radio dial. Commercial member stations of the Louisiana Broadcasters' Association donated equipment which allowed the station to open.
