Virginia Archer joined LSU Libraries as the Director of Development in early 2017. Archer is a graduate of LSU with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and political science. She has 8 years of non-profit administration experience, specializing in grants research and writing, event management, communications, board and donor relations, volunteer management and fundraising. Before joining the team at LSU Libraries, Archer was a communications and development consultant for the Baton Rouge area.
In her spare time, Archer is a founding writing mentor of New South Story Lab, a local multi-arts non-profit that hosts free creative writing studios at the East Baton Rouge Public Library and the Juvenile Detention Center.
