As a manuscripts processing archivist, I accession, arrange, describe, preserve, and provide access to manuscript collections and archival materials of the Louisiana and Lower Mississippi Valley Collections. I assist in the implementation of EAD and archival management software (ArchivesSpace) and participate in projects to create, revise, edit, correct, and digitally publish DACS compliant finding aids. In addition to my finding aid work, I create, revise, edit, and correct MARC records (in OCLC Connexion and SirsiDynix Workflows), subject guide entries (via Drupal), and accession records for manuscript collections and archival materials. I also provide reference services at various library service points; supervise undergraduate student workers; and participate in outreach efforts, programming, digitization projects, and exhibition preparation.
