Internet Explorer Search Tools for the LSU Libraries Online Catalog

Keyword Library Lookup - highlight a word on a webpage, click on the shortcut and you'll execute a search for that word in the LSU Libraries Online Catalog. You can also use this as a shortcut to type in your keyword search.

Instructions for Installing the Library Lookups

1. Right click on one of the "Library Lookup" links above and left click on "Add to Favorites"
2. When prompted, say yes to continue and allow the possibly harmful link
3. Save the new favorite in the Links folder.
   Note: You should see a button appear on your toolbar called Library Lookup. If it doesn't go to View > Toolbars and make sure you're set to view the links toolbar.
4. Depending on which link you're using, either go to a website and highlight the word you want to look up in the LSU Libraries Online Catalog, or go to amazon.com and be on a page which gives the isbn of a title.
5. Click the "Library Lookup" shortcut you created in step 1
6. A window should open, with the search results of the LSU Libraries Online Catalog. Note: if you have a popup blocker, you need to allow pop-ups for the page you're searching from.
