Managing Pop Ups in IE

How to control pop ups when browsing through websites
 

SOLUTION

You should set up the "Pop Up Blocker Settings"

• Turn on a Pop-up Blocker : By default pop-up blocker is turned on but if it is not make sure you turn it on by going to the "Tools" menu, pointing to "Pop-up Blocker", and then click "Turn on Popup Blocker".
• Control Settings for Pop-up Blocker : In order to control pop-ups Click on "Pop-up Blocker Settings".
  •  If you want to see pop-up windows from a specific Web site, type the address (or URL) of the site in the "Address of Web site to allow" box, and    then click "Add".
  •  You also can Click on the options to "Play a sound when a Pop Up is Blocked" and to "Show Information Bar when a Pop Up is Blocked". You also  have the preference to choose the level of filtering you need from the Drop down menu to a Low, Medium or High level in the "Pop Up Blocker  Settings"
  •  Click "Close"
• Temporarily allow pop-ups from a web site : Click the Information Bar when it notifies you that a pop-up has been blocked. Then click "Temporarily Allow Pop-ups".
• Your settings will be saved when you open a website next time.
