Your supervisor or Collection Development Coordinator should request this account from the UNIX Administrator. Please note which area you
need access to, usually a department name, or collection development group sci, soc sci, hum.

Telnet and FTP access to Origin are only available through SSH Secure Shell. You can edit files directly on Origin using the PICO editor. If you prefer, you can create and edit your files using an HTML editor.
For training, please check LSU's training portal
here. You can then use SSH Secure Shell to upload
the files to Origin.
You can contact Library Systems to download SSH Secure Shell. The Libraries have a site license for SSH Secure Shell which allows use on your home computer. If you wish to download SSH
Secure Shell from home, you will be prompted for a logon and password. Contact the Unix Administrator for the current logon and password.

- Changing your password - If you know your password and want to change it, type passwd at the prompt.
- Forgotten password - If you have forgotten your password, call the Unix Administrator.

- Campus network problems, so you cannot reach the server
- Incorrect password
