Description: This series documents the local history of the Atchafalaya Basin area, including Plaquemine, Bayou Sorrel, and Bayou Chene, Louisiana. Interviewees discuss lumbering, ginning moss, Plaquemine Lock, harvesting sugarcane, and social life and customs of the area in the early twentieth century. These interviews are also available at the Iberville Parish Library.
