Born and raised in Baton Rouge in the first years of this century; attended Baton Rouge High; differences between old and new LSU campuses; meeting places for students; sororities and fraternities of the day; student social life; campus moved in 1926; students rode on a train to the new site; 1925 murder of LSU Professor Turner; limited number of buildings on the old campus; dormitories; Mrs. Herget, Dean of Women; repercussions of fast increases in enrollment numbers; varying location of Registrar's Office; interaction with students; advances of women's status on campus; women as increased portion of total number of students; women's organizations; women on old campus not part of SGA.
