Tyson received a call from Long=s office for an interview in 1975; Leah Shroeder had been the previous intern and had worked with Long for many years and even lived with his family; Tyson was in law school when she was hired and Long was afraid that work would interfere with her studies; Tyson graduated from law school in 1976 and took the bar exam; Long interested in major policy areas and in rural America as well; Kent Hughes; Dick Bolling; Long realized that the risk was great for running for governorship in 1979;
