Notice to Patrons Regarding Security Procedures
Patrons are asked to take to the Reading Room a maximum of two pieces of paper or note cards, in addition to their photo IDs/wallets. Laptop computers without carrying cases are welcome in the Reading Room. They will be searched before you leave the area. These items will be noted on your reading room pass at the Public Services Desk in the foyer before you proceed to the Reading Room. We provide paper and pencils in the Reading Room for taking notes.
If you need to take additional materials in to the Reading Room in order to do your research, please keep them to an absolute minimum. Zippered notebooks, accordion files, brief cases, bags of any kind, and large files are not allowed in the Reading Room under any circumstances. Secure lockers are provided in the foyer for storage of these materials. Please note that all materials taken into the Reading Room will be searched before you leave the Reading Room.
