Three journals and a ledger contain entries pertaining to plantation expenses, slave labor, sugar, taffia, and cotton accounts. Accounts with individuals of the area include Benjamin Tureaud and Philip Hicky.

The [1769]1782-1845 journal in addition to the above contains a few entries in French, and a note that it was received from Francis and William Hiorn, July 7, 1769.

The 1798-1832 journal entries primarily concern Mather's sugar operations, and taffia sold on the German Coast (1802).

The 1813-1822 journal includes memos about payments and money lent and received.

The 1806-1817 ledger includes invoice and letter entries regarding cotton shipments to Liverpool, England in 1806 and 1807. Also included is an entry of a letter in French, signed P.H. and G.M., to Henry and Tousaint Fauve of La Rochelle, France.

The loose items consist of: an 1818 promissory note from George Mather to Joseph Corbe, a receipt dated 1866 from Comberbach's Angel Hotel paid for by B. Tureaud Jr., two receipts (1813-1814) to J. Harris from George Mather, an undated list of expenses of Bafalette Plantation, and a loose page from the 1813-1822 Journal.

These items consist of newspaper clippings and a pencil drawing of a poultry yard n.d. The clippings are: an 1880 clipping on flower sellers, a clipping dated July 10, 1925, entitled, "Davis' Days as Youthful Law Teacher," a George W. Cable obituary dated January 31, 1925, and a clipping entitled, "The Floral Marriage," n.d.
