David J. Fluker of East Feliciana Parish married Isabel Ann Kendrick, daughter of Benjamin Kendrick of Asphodel Plantation. The two had at least one son, Benjamin Kendrick Fluker, who ran Oak Ridge Plantation in Morehouse Parish, La. David and Isabel Fluker also owned Isabella Plantation in Monroe, La.
Papers consist of personal letters and receipts of David J. Fluker and Isabel Ann Fluker, including a business letter from Fellowes and Company in New Orleans urging the sale of Isabella Place Plantation (March 26, 1856), receipts for hardware, freight, food, taxes, lawyer fees, and itemized doctor’s bills of D.J. Fluker and J.A. Fluker.
