Isaac F. Jackson owned property in Amite County, Mississippi. He was married to Lettie V. Jackson (nee Wilson), also from Amite County.
The papers consist chiefly of financial documents of Isaac F. Jackson, Lettie V. Jackson, and members of the Wilson family. Documents include bills, receipts, and statements related to personal finances of family members and papers related to the settlement of the estate of Isaac F. Jackson. Legal papers include a transfer of property (January 7, 1827), and items related to the sale of land and litigation among family members (1870-1874). Correspondence includes several personal letters of Isaac and Lettie Jackson, and of Isaac's brother, Joseph R. Kemp. Also included is the release of J. R. Kemp from a prisoner of war camp (1863).
Other items include a lottery ticket (1853), a souvenir picture book of New Orleans (1884), a commencement program from University of Louisiana (now Tulane University) Medical Department (March 16, 1872), and military orders from headquarters of the Northern Division of Louisiana (May 14, 1865). Two small manuscript account books record personal family debts and credits (1866-1874).
