40 Annual Business and Executive Committee Meetings.
IV. Duties of the President-Elect
A. The President-Elect will perform
all duties requested by the Executive Committee.
B. The President-Elect will have
a right to vote at all Division 40 Annual Business and Executive Committee
Meetings.
C. In accordance with Treasurer,
the president-elect will prepare and seek approval of the budget tbr the
annual
operation of this office. 3
V. Duties of the Secretary
A. The Secretary will assist the
President in preparing the Agenda for all Division 40 Annual Business and
Executive Committee Meetings and
will issue calls and notices of all meetings of Division 40.
B. The Secretary will be responsible
for the minutes of all annual Business and Executive Committee Meetings
of Division 40.
C. The Secretary will be responsible
for preparing and presenting all Division 40 Annual Reports to the APA
Centml Office in a timely manner
and for coordinating and communicating with the APA Central Office as
needed.
D. The Secretary will be responsible
for all Division 40 correspondence in regard to the following functions:
1. Responding
2. Referring
3. Preparing
4. Informing
E. The Secretary will be responsible
for submitting a yearly list of Executive Committee appointments for
publication in the APA Monitor,
the American Psychologist, and Newsletter 40.
F. In coordination with the Treasurer,
the Secretary will prepare and seek approval of a budget for the annual
operation of this office.
G. In coordination with the Past-President,
the Secretary will arrange for the Call for Nominations to be mailed
to all Division 40 voting members.
The Secretary will tally the returned nominations received from the
membership, and will inform the
Past-President of the results.
H. The Secretary will perform
all other duties of the Coordinating Officer and will have a right to vote
at all
Division 40 Annual Business and
Executive Committee Meetings.
VI. Duties of the Treasurer
A. The Treasurer will be responsible
for overseeing all financial interests and matters of Division 40.
B. In consultation with the President,
the Treasurer makes appropriate investments and expenditures.
C. The Treasurer will oversee
the disbursement of funds, alerting all Committee Chairs, Special Role
Designates, and Officers, when
necessary, to assure that expenditures remain in line with budgeting
allotments unless an exception
is approved by the President
D. The Treasurer will prepare
and propose a yearly budget for the approval by the President and Executive
Committee at the appropriate Division
40 meetings held in conjunction with the Annual APA Convention.
E. The Treasurer will prepare
a Treasurer?s Report for presentation at all official Division 40 Annual
Business
and Executive Committee Meetings.
F. The Treasurer will be responsible
for the authorization of all checks to cover Division 40 expenses.
C. The Treasurer will carry out
correspondence as needed regarding financial and governance Issues of Division
40.
H. The Treasurer will inform new
Officers, Committee Chairs and other appointees of the process and
procedures to be followed for
reimbursement of expenses and to assist all officers and committee chairs,
etc.,
with the development of appropriate
budget. 4
I. In coordination with the President,
the Treasurer will prepare and seek approval of a budget for the annual
operation of this office.
J. The Treasurer will perform
all other duties of the Fiscal Officer and will have a right to vote at
all Annual
Business and Executive Committee
Meetings.
