Duties of Officers/Executive Committee
I. The Executive Committee
A. There shall be an Executive Committee of the Division, consisting
of the President, the immediate Past-
President, the President-Elect, the Secretary, the Treasurer,
the Divisional Council Representatives, and three
Members at Large.
B. Members of the Executive Committee serve for their terms of
elected office.
C. No person on the Executive Committee shall have more than
one vote.
D. The Executive Committee shall have general supervision of
the affairs of the Division, performing the duties
and abiding by the limitations specified in the Division 40 Bylaws.
E. All members of the Executive Committee shall have a budget
for their office, as approved by the Treasurer. I
F. Actions of the Executive Committee affecting Divisional policy
are subject to the approval by majority vote of
the members voting. The voting for such mailers shall be conducted
at the Annual Business Meeting or by
special mail ballot as decided by the Executive Committee.
IL. Duties of the President
A. As Chair of the Executive Committee, the President will conduct
all Annual Business and Executive Committee
Meetings of the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology (Division
40).
B. The President, upon consultation with the Executive Committee,
will appoint all Committee Chairs, including,
but not limited to, the following:
1. Standing Committees, with the exception of the Elections
Committee
2. Continuing Committees
3. Special Committees
C. The President will appoint Special Role Designates, with confirmation
of the appointment by vote of the
Executive Committee.
D. The President will call all Annual Business and Executive
Committee meetings of Division 40 and, with the
assistance of the Secretary, will set the time, place and agenda
for those meetings.
E. The President, in consultation with the Executive Committee,
will decide who is to be invited to attend
meetings of the Executive Committee.
F. The President will inform the designated awards recipients
of their selection and ascertain whether they will be
able to attend the Division 40 Annual Business Meeting and/or
other appropriate fimctions at the Annual APA
Convention to personally receive their awards.
G. In coordination with the Treasurer, the President will prepare
and seek approval of a budget for the operation of
this office.
H. The President will perform all other duties of the Presiding
Officer and will have a right to vote at all Division
40 Annual Business and Executive Committee Meetings.
III. Duties of the Past President
A. The Past President will serve as Chair of the Elections Committee.
B. The Past President will recommend two other Past Presidents
to serve on the Elections Committee to be
appointed by the President.
C. The Past President will work with the Division Secretary
to make sure that all calls for nomination are issued
in a timely manner. Members must have at least one month to
respond to the Call for Nominations before the
ballot is finalized.
D. The Past President will report on the results of the election
at the Division 40 Annual Business Meeting.
E. The Past President will work with the Newsletter Editor to
make sure that election results are published in the
newsletter in a timely manner.
F. In accordance with Treasurer, the president-elect will prepare
and seek approval of the budget for the annual
operation of this office. 2
G. The Past President will perform all other duties of the Advising
Officer and will have a right to vote at all
