b. To make sure that current ICD-9
Codes correspond appropriately to neuropsychological procedures.
c. To serve as liaisons with governmental,
professional, and/or scientific organizations (i.e., Medicare,
NAN, INS) to promote the best
interests of the practice of Clinical Neuropsychology and the public.
d. To serve as liaisons with any
appropriate APA Committees that undertake surveys on test utilization
and to offer consultation/input
into data analysis.
5. Division 40 Archivist
a. The Division 40 Archivist will
be in charge of the collection, review and selection of historical papers
and other Division 40 materials
for long-term storage in an archival repository. This position, which
will be appointed by the president
on a 3 year basis, was established by the Executive Committee on
2/4/98. 29
b. Other than Agendas, Minutes,
and Newsletter 40 Issues, all materials to be considered for archival
storage, must be sent to the Archivist
for review. 30
c. Personal correspondence must
be accompanied by written permission to submit archival material
before it can be forwarded to
the Archivist.
d. The Chair of the Fellowship
Committee and the division 40 Secretary will serve as ad hoc advisors to
the Archivist. The Archivist may
ask other Division 40 members for assistance on special projects as/if
the need arises.
e. The Division 40 Archives will
be housed in the Louisiana and Lower Mississippi Valley Collections,
Special Collections, at the Hill
Memorial Library, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. 31
f. A yearly financial support
fee will be sent by the Treasurer to the LSU Foundation for upkeep of the
Division 40 Archives. 32
g. Via a joint project between
the LSU Digital Library and the LSU Office of Computing Services, all
pertinent Division 40 records
will be arranged, described, and digitized and made available via the
internet at (http://diglib.lsu.edu/digitallibrary)
as of July 1,1999. 33
h. The Division 40 Webmaster and
the Division 40 Newsletter Editor will consult with the LSU curator to
maintain a coordinated flow of
information. The Division 40 Archivist will assist as/if needed. 34
i. The Division 40 Secretary will
inform the APA Central Office of the availability of all Minutes,
Agendas, Newsletter 40 Issues,
and/or other pertinent materials at the LS U Website.
j. The Division 40 Secretary will
provide the APA Central Office with any and all recent or
historical/archival records that
are requested by the APA Central Office. The Archivist will assist the
Secretary in this task as/if needed.
6. International Relations Liaison
a. To foster/facilitate communication
with clinical neuropsychologists in other countries.
b. To share information in all
areas of Clinical Neuropsychology in order to promote further
understanding of issues in other
countries.
c. To develop teaching and educational
programs in the area of international psychology.
d. To serve as a liaison with
such groups as the CIRP (APA Committee on International Relations in
Psychology), TOPSS (Teaching of
Psychology in Secondary Schools), and others as needed.
e. To suggest internationally
prominent neuropsychologists from countries other than the United States
to
the Program Committee Chair for
invited addresses, symposia workshops, etc., or attendance.
f. To suggest international students,
not studying in the United States, to the Program Committee Chair
for papers, posters, etc., or
attendance.
7. Division 40 Representatives to the Interdivisional
Health Care Committee (IHC)
a. The IHC is comprised of representatives
from APA Divisions that share a common interest in
advancing the role of psychologists
in health care settings. This committee was formed to address the
concerns of psychologists working
in health care settings and the evolution of psychology as a health
care profession.
b. Two Division 40 representatives
serve on the IHC, in accordance with the IHC Bylaws.
c. The objectives of the IHC are:
