                             Goal 4

Strive to improve the application of clinical neuropsychological
procedures to culturally and socio-economically diverse populations

                   Goal 4 Specific Strategies

     *  Encourage the development and validation of procedures and norms for use with culturally and socio-
     economically diverse populations
     *  Promote validity and reliability research examining the application of neuropsychological procedures
     to culturally and socio-economically diverse populations

                             Goal 5

Increase cost-effectiveness of clinical neuropsychological procedures without compromising the quality
of services

                   Goal 5 Specific Strategies

     *  Establish guidelines for program evaluation of clinical neuropsychological services
     *  Provide guidelines for increasing the efficiency of our services
     *  Promote program evaluation research relevant to clinical neuropsychology, including research
     examining the validity and reliability of neuropsychological procedures
     *  Encourage relevant program evaluation research by inclusion  and emphasis on this area of research in
     the APA Convention program
     *  Encourage the development of innovations in test construction utilizing techniques derived from
     cognitive neuroscience and cognitive neuropsychology

                             Goal 6

Increase the relevance of neuropsychological findings to everyday problems

                   Goal 6 Specific Strategies

     *  Promote research examining the ecological validity and application of neuropsychological findings to
     problems of every day living, utilizing vocational, educational, legal and daily living skills
     performance criteria
     *  Establish a public information and education committee to serve as a resource for the press and public
     regarding the relevance of neuropsychological knowledge and practice to the general public
