Dear Colleagues:
This is a relatively large mailing, so I would like to take a moment to describe the contents so that you can be sure of having received all the materials. You should find a copy of our Annual Membership Survey, the Statements by the Candidates for Board of Directors positions, a ballot to vote for the Board of Directors positions, a ballot containing a variety of Bylaws changes proposed by the Board of Directors, and a flyer about our 1997 Membership Meeting and Conference. If you did not receive all of these items, please call APPIC Central Office and a replacement will be sent to you.
I hope all of you will seriously consider attending the First APPIC Membership Meeting and Conference on April 3-5, 1997, at the Sheraton World Resort in Orlando, Florida. I look forward to meeting with as many of you as possible and discussing the variety of issues that face professional psychology training in the 21 st century.
I also hope to see many of you at our Annual Membership Meeting held at the APA Convention. This year the APA Convention is in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our meeting will be held on Friday, August 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in Salon B of the Royal York Hotel.In addition, the Council of Chairs of Training Councils is sponsoring, in cooperation with APA's Board of Educational Affairs, an Open Forum on Internship Issues on Saturday August 10, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. in Room 104D of the Toronto Convention Centre.
