Article I
Name and Purpose
1. The name of this organization shall be the Division of Clinical
Neuropsychology of the American Psychological Association.
2. The purposes of this organization are: a) to advance the contributions
of psychology in understanding
the neurological bases of normal and dysfunctional behavior by encouraging
basic and clinical research;
b) to promote education and service in the field of clinical neuropsychology;
c) to inform psychologists,
members of related scientific disciplines, and the general public of
the results of current research and
service activities relating to clinical neuropsychology; d) to advocate
and promote the concerns of
neuropsychologists within the organizational structure of the American
Psychological Association, other
relevant organizations and the community at large.
1. There shall be three categories of membership in the Division of
Clinical Neuropsychology: Member, Fellow and Associate.
2. The minimum qualifications for election to the category of Member shall be:
a. attainment of the category of
Member or Fellow of the American Psychological
Association;
b. demonstrated interest in the field of Neuropsychology and
its development.
3. The minimum qualifications for election to the category of Fellow shall be:
a. attainment of the category of Member in the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology.
