BIOSIS is the largest biological sciences database in the world, abstracting journal articles, proceedings, and other publications. Environmental science, biochemistry, and biomedicine are included. BIOSIS contains Biological Abstracts, which LSU also has separately, plus other material from journals, reports, and proceedings. The database starts with 1969. For earlier material go to the print version Biological Abstracts (MIDDLETON Reference QH 301 B37). If you need only the most important material indexed here, use the electronic Biological Abstracts.
