Mr. Edmond Shenak

Dear Sir

Your respects of the 10th Inst. is at hand. In answer thereto I shall accept of your proposition of five hundred dollars for the rent of the plantation you now reside on for the ensuing year. Should the fresh over flow the cultivatable land and prevent your making a crop no rent will be expected. If it should be a partial overflow so in proportion will the rent be expected.

The payment for the last years rent will be in due time and the place of payment quite to my satisfaction. I shall expect the present year to be made namely Messrs Fisk and McNeil [?].

Very respectfully yours
David Hunt
