Provides citations to literature in agriculture and related fields that have been acquired by the National Agricultural Library and its cooperating institutions since 1970. Although production of these records in electronic form began in 1970, but the database covers materials dating from the 15th century to the present. The recordsdescribe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including plant and animal sciences, forestry, entomology, soil andwater resources, agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, agricultural products, alternative farming practices, and food and nutrition. Currently, Books, etc., contains all records produced from 1970 to the present (683,760 records). Articles, etc., contains records produced from 1979 to the present (1,884,383 records).

Gene Index - DFCI Computational Biology and Functional Genomics laboratory
The promise of genome projects has been a complete catalogue of genes in a wide range of organisms. The sequencing of Expressed Sequence Transcripts (ESTs), fragments of genes that have been copied from DNA to RNA, provides the most comprehensive evidence for the existence of genes and their structure. The goal of The Gene Index Project is to use the available EST and gene sequences, along with the reference genomes wherever available, to provide an inventory of likely genes and their variants and to annotate these with information regarding the functional roles played by these genes and their products. In addition, we are attempting to use these catalogues to find links between genes and pathways in different species and to provide lists of features within completed genomes that can aid in the understanding of how gene expression is regulated.
GrainGenes 2.0 Database for triticeae and avena
GrainGenes is a genetic database for Triticeae, oats, and sugarcane, being assembled as part of the United States Department of Agriculture and National Agricultural Library's Plant Genome Program, initiated by Jerome P. Miksche and currently directed by Henry L. Shands. Kinds of information include: * genetic and cytogenetic maps, * genomic probes, nucleotide sequences, * genes, alleles and gene products, * associated phenotypes, quantitative traits and QTLs, * genotypes and pedigrees of cultivars, genetic stocks, and other germplasms, * pathologies and the corresponding pathogens, insects, and abiotic stresses, * a taxonomy of the Triticeae and Avena, * addresses and research interests of colleagues, * relevant bibliographic citations.

LSU AgCenter Cooperative Extension
The LSU AgCenter’s mission is to provide the people of Louisiana with research-based educational information that will improve their lives and economic well-being.
The primary mission of the college- teaching- is an integral part of the university’s land grant responsibilities. Many of the faculty of the college are jointly appointed with the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station or the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, the research and service arms of the LSU Agricultural Center. The relationship between teaching, research and service is a hallmark of the land grant system and an underlying aspect of the long-range plan for the College of Agriculture. The teaching programs in the college have evolved from a focus solely on production agriculture to a comprehensive array of program beginning with the production of food and fiber products to new technologies in the areas of environment, natural resources, nutrition, human resources, biotechnology, agribusiness, food quality, value added products, consumer science, quantitative science, and global competitiveness.

The Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering
The Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering(CSAE) was founded in 1979 as a member of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), a country member of International Commission of Agricultural Engineering. Academic Activity Exchange, International Exchange, Popularization of Agricultural Engineering, Consultative Center of Agricultural Engineering and Youth Science and Technology . CSAE has approximately 10,000 individual members all over the country. Group, corresponding(foreign),honorable memberships are also available. In the meantime, local Societies were established in 23 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the leadership of the CSAE. It publishes the ,<Agricultural Engineering Technology >and . It also produces collections of agricultural engineering forum papers, and popular scientific pamphlets about agricultural engineering. XRD X-ray Diffraction Analysis Database
This database contains X-ray diffraction patterns and raw data (ascii files) for 59 clay fractions completed for Project S-207: Mineralogy and Charge Properties of Readily-Dispersible Colloidal Fractions from Selected Soils and Sediments of the Southern Region. Clay fractions analyzed include Mg saturated, Water and glycerol, and K saturated and heated 25, 100, and 500 degrees C specimen. Most samples were prepared by the filter peel technique. A few had to be placed on slides from dilute suspensions. XRD analysis was done on a Siemens D5000 unit with a Cu tube. Scans were from 2 to 36 degrees 2-theta, 3-second counts at 0.05 degree steps. The patterns are plotted using the unedited, raw ascii files. All samples were Mg and K saturated and mounted on slides in the U of Florida mineralogy laboratory. XRD analysis were obtained in the Mineral Analysis Laboratory at Auburn. The online database was designed and programmed at ALRIC and the Soil Physics Laboratory at Auburn University.
