Do you need driving directions?

From the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport to the Conference Hotel

DIRECTIONS
1. Start out going West on the airport access road. Leave airport following the "To Baton Rouge" signs.
2. Turn LEFT onto VETERANS MEMORIAL BLVD. Travel .85 miles to the stop light.
3. Turn RIGHT following the "To 110-S" sign.
4. Stay in the right lane. Almost immediately, take the I-110 S. ramp towards BATON ROUGE.
5. Merge onto I-110 S. Travel 6.5 miles.
6. Stay in the left hand lane going toward NEW ORLEANS. This becomes I-10 East. DO NOT GO OVER THE BRIDGE TO LAFAYETTE! This is I-10 West. Travel 2.2 miles.
7. Take the ACADIAN THWY exit- exit number 157B.
8. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp.
9. Turn right off the ramp, proceed IMMEDIATELY to the left lane. Turn left into the Acadian Centre. Pass the Outback Restaurant, the Courtyard Hotel will be on your right.

If you are driving into Baton Rouge using the interstate system, you will enter on either I-12 or I-10. I-55, I-59 and I-65 lead to I-12. If you come in through New Orleans, you'll use I-10.

• Approaching Baton Rouge on I-12:

DIRECTIONS
1. Enter Baton Rouge on I-12 West. Begin tracking mileage at the O'Neal exit.
2. Travel 7.4 miles to where I-12 merges with I-10 W. Continue.
3. Travel 1.7 miles. Take the S. ACADIAN THWY exit (exit no. 157B).
4. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp.
5. Turn LEFT onto S. ACADIAN TRWY. Stay in the left lane. Pass under I-10, turn left into Acadian Centre.
6. Pass the Outback Restaurant, hotel is on your right.

• Approaching Baton Rouge on I-10 West:

  DIRECTIONS
  1. Enter Baton Rouge on I-10 W.
  2. Merge with I-12, continue 1.7 miles.
  3. Take the S. ACADIAN THWY exit (exit number 157B)
  4. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp.
  5. Turn LEFT onto S. ACADIAN THWY. Pass under I-10, turn left into Acadian Courtyard.
  6. Pass the Outback Restaurant, hotel is on your right.

• Directions from hotel to the LSU Faculty Club (opening reception).

  1. Leave hotel, proceed to S. ACADIAN THWY. Turn left on to S. ACADIAN THWY.
  2. Travel on S. ACADIAN THWY, passing three stop lights and the LSU Lakes on your right. After traveling a total of 1.4 miles from the hotel, you will reach the 4th stoplight. Turn right on WEST LAKESHORE, going around the lake.
  3. Travel on WEST LAKESHORE until you reach the fork (.3 miles), continue LEFT, leaving WEST LAKESHORE, which goes right. (You'll be on STADIUM DR., but it isn't marked.) Travel .4 miles more to the light.
  4. Turn right on to HIGHLAND RD.
  5. The Faculty Club is located at the 2nd light after you turn onto HIGHLAND RD. To park, turn right at that second light (RAPHAEL SIMMS DR, and there is street parking available and there is a parking lot on your right. The Faculty Club is on the northeast corner, it will be on your left after this last turn.

• Directions from hotel to Hill Memorial Library on the LSU campus.

  1. Leave hotel, proceed to S. ACADIAN THWY . Turn left on to S. ACADIAN THWY.
  2. Travel on S. ACADIAN THWY , passing three stop lights and the LSU Lakes on your right. After traveling 1.4 miles, you will reach the 4th stoplight, turn right on WEST LAKESHORE, going around the lake.
  3. Travel on WEST LAKESHORE until you reach the fork (.3 miles), continue LEFT, leaving WEST LAKESHORE, which goes right. (You'll be on STADIUM DR., but it isn't marked.)
  Travel .4 miles more to the light.
  4. Turn right on to HIGHLAND RD.
  5. Go to the 3rd stop light, turn left on to DALRYMPLE DR.
  6. As you drive on Dalrymple, you will see the parade ground on your left, and just past the parade ground, on your right is the School of Music building (the "new" one. Contine driving, the road will curve again, this time to the LEFT just past two hills called the "Indian Mounds."
  7. Just past the two mounds there is a parking lot entrance on the left. THIS IS OUR DESIGNATED PARKING LOT FOR FRIDAY. It is a gated lot, someone will be there to let you in from 8am to 9:30 on Friday morning.

• Directions for those driving into town and going DIRECTLY to the opening reception

  1. Enter Baton Rouge on either I-10 West or I-12 West. Pass the merger of 1-10 and I-12.
  2. Travel 3.06 miles to the Dalrymple exit. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp.
  3. Drive under the interstate (there is a light), continue to the next light, then you will drive between two lakes and enter the North gates of LSU.
  4. Continue on Dalrymple, taking a 90 degree curve to the right. You will come to a light atthe corner of Dalrymple and Highland Road.
  5. Turn LEFT on Highland Road, drive 1 block. The Faculty Club will be on your LEFT. If you turn left on RAPHAEL SIMMS DR., right next to the Faculty Club, you should be able to find parking.

• Directions for those driving into town and going DIRECTLY to the conference

  1. Enter Baton Rouge on either I-10 West or I-12 West. Pass the merger of 1-10 and I-12.
  2. Travel 3.06 miles to the Dalrymple exit. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp.

  5. Continue on Dalrymple as you enter on to the LSU campus. • Directions from hotel to Boutin's Restaurant.

  1. Leave hotel, turn right on S. ACADIAN THWY. IMMEDIATELY turn right on the access Road for I-10 West.
  2. At the I-10/1-12 "split", stay in the RIGHT LANE and proceed on I-10.
  3. Pass the "Essen Lane" exit.
  4. Take the "Bluebonnet" exit, stay in the right lane, turning right on BLUEBONNET.
  5. Pass a large mall on your left, continue through the only major intersection, that of PERKINS RD. and BLUEBONNET.
  6. Continue .4 miles past the intersection, Boutin's Restaurant will be on your RIGHT.
