Summary:
            Under the direction of the Music Resources Supervisor, position is responsible for installation and maintenance of all audio visual equipment in Music Resources; creates and provides access to electronic files used for listening reserves; trains and works with students in providing access to electronic files. In conjunction with the Music Resources Supervisor, maintains and suggests audio visual equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:
 
30%     Creates and provides access to electronic sound files for Reserve materials. Trains students in these procedures.
20%     Installs and maintains all audio visual equipment. Provides such equipment for classes using materials in the library.
15%     Identifies and, in conjunction with the Music Resources Supervisor, orders replacement parts and/or equipment.
30%     Performs basic reference services, (which could include evening duties) directs research level inquires to the Music Resources Supervisor as appropriate.
5%       Other duties as necessary and appropriate.

Required:

            Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and three to five years of library or highly related work experience. Music degree or extensive knowledge of music. Good computer skills; ability to install and maintain complex audio equipment. Good interpersonal skills.
