Graduate Assistantship available
A graduate assistantship is available in LSU Libraries Administrative Services. This position is a six month appointment through August 2013 with standard benefits associated with an LSU graduate assistantship. Preference will be given to candidates who submit all application materials by March 6. Successful candidate will begin in March 2013.
Description of job responsibilities and any needed specifications:
Manage student employees’ schedules. Responsible for retrieving supply order request from e-mail, ordering those supplies and delivering them to Library personnel. Submit work orders to Facility Services for building issues. Assist in preparing building inspection checklist and equipment inventory reports for Middleton Library. Handle signage and posters.
Other duties are to run mail and other errands between campus buildings, to file, copy, data entry, and update spreadsheets as directed, and to make and distribute staff and student ID badges for the Libraries. They may occasionally be required to cover the office reception desk, answer phones and direct visitors, and to provide information and proper forms to students seeking employment.
