REFERENCE STACKS: The Reference Stacks are found along the back of the Reference Room. The first two rows are government documents reference works, such as The Statistical Abstract of the United States, and are shelved by Superintendent of Documents Classification number. The rest of the materials are shelved by Library of Congress call number. Items in this room are usually consulted for background information or as an index to other sources. They generally provide "quick" information and do not circulate outside the library.
