Finding Periodical Articles

Locations of Periodical Literature

Different issues of one particular periodical can appear in several different places. Newsweek, for example, is in four different places (and formats) in the Middleton Library. Some issues of it are:
very recent issues are in print in the Current Periodicals Room current periodicals room
the most recent 20 years are in a full-text database on the web Indexes and Databases webpage
older issues going back to 1934 are in bound periodicals in the "stacks" (which are the rows of bookshelves on all floors of the library) Bound Periodicals
older issues are also on microfilm in the basement Gov Docs and Microfilm room

It all depends on which issue you need.
