Michael Russo - User Instruction Coordinator
B.A. in Communications from Loyola
M.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee
M.L.I.S. from Louisiana State University.

Prior to coming to LSU Libraries, worked for the New Orleans Public Library for 3 years, taught composition and literature for 5 years at Xavier University in New Orleans. Most recently, worked in Reference and Government Documents at the LSU law school library.

Prior to coming to LSU Libraries in August of 2005, worked for the Pellissippi Community College Libraries (Tennessee). Formerly employed in U.S. defense industry in quality assurance (information and assessment), and earlier as a trainer and computer analyst.

 Alice Daugherty

Prior to coming to LSU Libraries in July of 2004, employed as a teacher for the Lincoln Consolidated School District in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Mitch Fontenot
B.A., English Literature, Louisiana State University
M.L.I.S., University of Texas at Austin

Prior to arriving at LSU in July of 2004, worked at Front Range Community College, University of Colorado, University of Nebraska, Texas State Law Library, and LSU. Also sailed around the world on the Semester at Sea program (Semester At Sea) in the spring of 2001 as their assistant librarian.

Prior to coming to LSU Libraries, worked at Gaylord Information Systems as a site manager for the GALAXY automated library system for 2 1/2 years. Prior to that, worked for 3 years at the Syracuse University Library in the Bibliographic Services Department.

 Aaron Lercher

B.A., Columbia University, 1984
Ph.D., Philosophy, University at Buffalo, 1999
M.L.S., University at Buffalo, 2006

Prior to coming to LSU Libraries in 2007, taught Philosophy for 6 years at Canisius College and other institutions in the Buffalo area. Also worked at Talking Leaves Books, a landmark independent bookstore in Buffalo, for 12 years.

Rebecca Miller
B.A., English and Religion (double concentration), College of William and Mary in Virginia
M.S.L.S., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Prior to arriving at LSU in July 2008, Rebecca worked in the User Services department at the University of North Carolina Health Sciences Library in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Before obtaining her MSLS, she also worked in several different library environments in Virginia, including a small public library, an elementary school library, and the special collections of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
Jorie Porter

B.M., Music History and Literature, Florida State University
M.A., Information Resources and Library Science, University of Arizona.

Prior to arriving at LSU Libraries, Jorie worked in the International Programs for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and hte Office of Arid Land studies at the University of Arizona as well as the Arizona State University Downtown Phoenix campus library. Research interests include information literacy, instruction through technology, agricultural resources, and information seeking behavior in academics.

Prior to coming to LSU Libraries, Jenna worked as a graduate assistant in the Science Library at USC and in the USC Medical School Library.
