LSU Libraries User Instruction
Online Catalog Tutorials

Welcome to the LSU Libraries Online Catalog Tutorials.

Free access to the catalog is available through the LSU Libraries homepage (http://www.lib.lsu.edu). It identifies materials in the LSU Libraries such as books, newspapers, journals, magazines, government publications, electronic indexes and databases, electronic books, electronic journals, videos, music scores, cassettes, CD-ROMS, maps, and other cataloged items. Collections include materials from Middleton (main library), Hill (Special Collections), the Cartographic Information Center (maps), and Veterinary Medicine Library.

Understanding how to use the catalog is essential to finding materials in the libraries. These tutorials will introduce you to finding information using the catalog, and explain several of the special features it offers!
