Epson Expression 11000XL

Epson Expression 11000XL

The majority of the digitization that is done in the LSU Libraries Digitization Lab is done with Epson Expression 11000XL flatbed scanners. This scanner will accomodate items up to 12.2" x 17.2" and can produce images with a resolution of up to 2400 pixels per inch. This high resolution allows us to capture small images in a way that allows for clear reproduction at much larger sizes. In addition to capturing reflective surfaces such as letters and photographic prints, the 11000XL's transparency adapters allow us to scan film, slides and glass plate negatives.
