A. Connections files (located at the bottom of this page) for each LOUIS library catalog are available below. Here's how to install them: simply download the file into the directory containing your Endnote connection files, for example, "c:Endnote\connections\". Then start Endnote and connect to this file.
B. The number and kind of USMARC tags you search on in Endnote are basic because Endnote is not an information discovery tool, it's a bibliography import tool. Nonetheless, searching on ISBN/ISSN can be very helpful when you already have in your hands the book you want a citation to include in your bib. Here's how to add the ISBN/ISSN tags FOR EACH SITE's CONNECTION FILE so you can search on those fields:

Connection Files
Open Connection Manager
Highlight the connection you want to edit by clicking on "Edit"
In left-side column select Search Attributes
In the right-side colume, add the following:
Note: To get a new row, just hit enter while in the last row before you want the new row entered.

Now save the connection file.
When you select this institution to search, the ISBN and ISSN tags appear in the drop down menu in the search form.
