BYLAWS




Article I -- Election of Officers


At least one month before each annual meeting, the President shall appoint a committee of three to nominate the officers of the Association. The Nominating Committee should endeavor to maintain representation from all categories of staff. Additional nominations may be made from the floor. Election of officers shall take place at the annual business meeting.



Article II -- Election of Committees


The standing committees of the Staff Association are:
  • Courtesy
  • Entertainment
  • Fundraising
  • Membership
  • Social
The term of office shall be one year. It shall be the duty of the chairperson of each committee to serve on the Executive Committee and to submit a written report at the annual business meeting, such report to be filed with the Secretary. Volunteers for standing committees shall be solicited at the annual meeting of the Staff Association. The incoming President may appoint chairpersons and additional committee members as needed.

The President may also appoint ad hoc committees as needed.



Article III -- Annual Dues


Sect. 1 The annual dues shall be $5.00 payable the first day of July. Dues are delinquent if not paid by October 1st. Annual dues are $3.00 for graduate assistants.

Sect. 2 Members who have not paid their annual dues shall not have the privilege of voting, holding office, or serving on any committees until dues are paid.



Article IV -- Amendments


These bylaws may be amended at any meeting by a two-thirds vote of the quorum.
