Mission Statement
The mission of the LSU Libraries Collection Management Department is to support the overall mission of the Library, with attention to the following:
- Oversee the acquisition, organization, and cataloging of library materials in all formats;
- Promote and facilitate access to library materials by maintaining the integrity of the LSU Libraries' online catalog by providing bibliographic control;
- Oversee the physical processing and preservation of library materials so they are kept in good condition
