Guidelines for Recording Holdings: Extent of Unit
- Extent of unit is usually given when a unit lacks enumeration and/or chronology.
- Extent of unit is recorded as a count of the number of parts held followed by a term indicating the specific class of material.
- If the number of parts appears on the container or the number is easily determined, give the exact number of parts
