Second Indicator (Type of Notation):

0	Non standard	Use for electronic resource holdings and "odd" holdings which are not covered in the standard
1	ANSI/NISO Z39.71 or ISO 10324
Subfield Codes:

|8	Field Link and Sequence Number	No space before or after the subfield Subfield |8 is always the first subfield and the linking number is always 1 Example:  |81|av.1(1992)-v.10(2001)
|a	Textual Holdings	No space after the subfield Refer to guidelines for captions, enumeration, and chronology Example:  |81|av.1(1992)-v.10(2001)
|x	Nonpublic Note	No space before or after the subfield Use for staff notes that relate to the field, not the MARC holdings record as a whole Example:  |81|av.1(1992)-v.9(2000)|xv.10(2001) wd/damaged
