Mission

The Cataloging Department is located on the
lower level of Middleton Library. It is responsible for cataloging,
classification and subject analysis of library materials in all formats and
languages acquired by the LSU Libraries. Our cataloging is performed
according to national standards and practices, but with our students,
faculty, and staff needs always foremost.
The Department participates in NACO and has OCLC Enhance status.
