All Students, Faculty, & Staff
- LSU Interlibrary Borrowing
- Scope of Materials acquired through ILB:
- Materials in the general circulating collection (monographs, technical reports, positive microforms, government documents, etc.).
- Theses/dissertations when circulating copies are available. When a circulating copy is not available, a patron can purchase a copy from commercial vendors (e.g. University Microfilms).
- Photocopies of journal articles. Entire issues of journals generally are not available on loan.
- Materials owned by the LSU Libraries may not be ordered on Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Borrowing Policies and Procedures.
Graduate Students, Faculty, & Staff
- Ingenta
- Allows for the ordering of articles, from periodicals not owned by LSU, by faculty, research staff, and graduate students for research or instructional use. These orders are subsidized by the library up to 45 dollars.
- LALINC
- Faculty and graduate students in good standing may obtain a LALINC card from the circulation desk which will allow them to get library privileges at other LALINC institutions.
- List of participating LALINC libraries may be obtained from the LOUIS homepage: http://appl003.lsu.edu/ocsweb/louishome.nsf/index.
- *A VISA or MASTERCARD back up will be required before the LALINC card can be issued.
